Home service website questions
Do you build sites for trades other than roofing?
Yes. The same approach works for plumbers, electricians, heating engineers, plasterers, builders and other home service firms. You can see plastering, plumbing and roofing sites we have built above.
How much does a home service website cost?
Website plans are £27 or £59 a month, or £243 or £354 a year, with no setup fee. If you would rather own the site outright, one-off builds are £497 or £997, fixed before work starts.
How long does it take?
Most sites go live within 3 working days, and larger sites within 7. You see the site before anything is billed. The biggest factor is how quickly you can send photos and approve pages.
Will it help me show up on Google Maps?
Every site is built so Google can read it: fast, mobile-first and with local business schema. Growth includes Google Business Profile setup assist. SEO itself is a separate service, not part of any plan: local SEO, the monthly work aimed at more calls from Google Maps and search, is from £299 a month.
Monthly or yearly: which should I pick?
Monthly keeps each payment small: £27 or £59, with a 6-month minimum. Yearly is paid once, after you approve your site: £243 for Starter (25% off) or £354 for Growth (50% off). Pick yearly if you are sure you want the site for at least a year.
Who are the website plans for?
Trade and home-service businesses: roofing, plumbing and heating, electrical, plastering, builders, property maintenance, landscaping and gardening, gutters and roofline, cleaning, pest control, painting and decorating, tree surgery, driveways and paving, windows and doors, bathrooms and kitchens. Other kinds of business can have a site built at our one-off web design prices instead.
What counts as a small update?
A text or image change to a page you already have, such as new prices, a fresh photo or an updated offer, up to 30 minutes of work. Starter includes 1 every 3 months (2 a year on yearly), Growth up to 3 every 3 months (up to 10 a year on yearly). More than that: £20 a batch, a set of small changes sent together, up to 30 minutes of work. New pages and bigger jobs are quoted first.
Is there anything else to pay?
No setup fee, and hosting is in the price. So is your domain when we manage it in our account; if you would rather keep it in your own account, that is fine, and you pay its renewal yourself. Extra small updates beyond your plan are £20 a batch.
Is the price the same everywhere?
For almost everyone, yes. In a small number of highly competitive services or areas, such as emergency plumbing in central London, a competitive-market fee applies on top. We tell you before you sign, and it is never added later.
What is the business email on Growth?
An address on your own domain, such as [email protected], for receiving email. Put it on your website, socials and vans, and every message is forwarded to your personal inbox. To send from it as well, set up Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho Mail yourself; we add the DNS records for you, and you do the rest of the setup.
Can I leave early?
On monthly, the first 6 months are the minimum. Leave earlier and the remaining months of the minimum are invoiced, or you can buy the site outright at the one-off price for its size. After that, cancel with 30 days' notice. On yearly, you can cancel the renewal at any time and the site stays live to the end of the year you paid for; there is no refund for the rest of that year.
Can I move from Starter to Growth?
Yes, whenever you like. On monthly, the price changes when the plan changes. On yearly, you pay the difference for the months left.
What if a payment fails?
We message you first. If it is not sorted within 14 days, the site is paused until it is.
